Step into a world where rhythm is your only weapon against the shadows. Cantus Ex Umbra is a two-player cooperative rhythm action game set in a chilling musical nightmare. Trapped within a realm forged from fear and regret, players must synchronize their timing—blocking incoming attacks and unleashing counterstrikes through perfectly timed inputs.

Each player commands a distinct rhythm interface—mouse, keyboard—transforming every encounter into a harmonious, high-stakes performance. Charge your energy bar by maintaining precision, then activate powerful co-op combos to turn the tide. But beware: a few missed beats can drain your strength and leave you vulnerable.

In this world of nightmares, rhythm is survival. Will you find harmony through trust and redemption—or be consumed by dissonance and dread?

Core Gameplay Mechanics: Players collaboratively block enemy attacks and perform rhythm-based counterattacks through synchronized keypresses and mouse clicks. You get a perfect score if you have the right timing in clicking the circle notes when the outer circle closes in on the note. For the eye notes you get a perfect score if you click on the D, F, J or K key as it touches the endzone. 

If both players achieve a 25+ combos of Perfects then you enter burst mode in which you button mash your main keys to attack the boss!
